At drone.barcelona we produce aerial drone imagery in the Penedès for wineries, cava houses and wine tourism. What sets a Penedès bottle apart is its landscape: the mosaic of Alt Penedès vineyards around Vilafranca del Penedès, the gentle slopes rising towards Montserrat and the concentration of cava houses in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, where much of Catalan cava is born. With the drone we capture this territory from a perspective that connects directly with the origin of the wine and the cava.
Our approach is imagery and marketing, not agronomic. We produce advertising-quality aerial video and aerial photography designed for the winery's website, wine-tourism platforms, wine and cava product sheets, labels and packaging, social media and brand campaigns. We plan each shoot according to the moment in the vineyard cycle: the late-summer and autumn harvest for colour, budbreak and flowering for green, and winter pruning for the clean lines of the landscape.
Some are looking for vigour maps or NDVI indices for the agronomic management of the vineyard. That is a different technical discipline and we do not offer it as a service: we focus on the imagery that communicates and sells. Do you work in the Penedès and in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia?
Yes. The Penedès is one of our regular working areas: Alt Penedès vineyards around Vilafranca, the cava houses of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and the whole landscape of the D.O. Penedès and the D.O. Cava. We coordinate the shoot according to the estate and the moment in the vineyard cycle.
When is the best time to film the Penedès vineyards?
It depends on the story the brand wants to tell. The late-summer and autumn harvest gives the most iconic colour; the spring budbreak and flowering, the green; winter, the clean lines of the pruned vines. We plan the shoot to capture the season that best tells the story of your wine or your cava.
Do you produce vigour maps or NDVI of the vineyard?
No. Our service is imagery and marketing: aerial video and photography for wineries, cava houses and wine tourism. Agri-mapping and agronomic indices such as NDVI are a different technical discipline that we do not offer. We focus on the imagery that communicates and sells the brand.
Is it useful for the winery's labels, website and social media?
Yes. We deliver tailored material for the winery's website, wine and cava product sheets, labels and packaging, social media and brand campaigns. The aerial view of the Penedès conveys the origin and the territory in a way that ground-level photography cannot achieve.
Can you fly over the estate and the winery?
Yes. We are an AESA-authorised operator, with certified pilots and €1,500,000 civil liability insurance. We handle the permits and airspace coordination for each location in the Penedès and, when required, the authorisations with the Mossos d'Esquadra in Catalonia. We'll explain how it works before the shoot.
Do you coordinate the shoot with visits and wine tourism?
Yes. We plan the flight so it does not interfere with visits, tastings and the winery's activity, and we can make use of real wine-tourism moments to give the material authenticity. The goal is imagery for the experiences website, bookings and campaigns.
