Frequently
asked questions
Do I need a permit to fly a drone in Barcelona?
In practice, yes. Barcelona is full of UAS geographical zones with restrictions: controlled airspace, urban environments, aerodromes and sensitive points. Depending on where and how you fly, you may need specific authorisations. We are an AESA-authorised operator and we handle the necessary permits for each flight, so you don't have to worry about it.
Where can I check the zones where flying is allowed?
The official source is the ENAIRE Drones map (drones.enaire.es), which shows the UAS geographical zones across the country. You can also use our free «Can you fly here?» tool, which with 4 questions guides you on which permits you should look into before your flight.
Who can legally fly a drone?
To fly professionally you must be registered as an operator with AESA and the pilot must hold the corresponding training. We are an AESA-authorised operator, with operator licences and civil liability insurance of €1,500,000. If you don't meet the requirements, we can fly on your behalf.
